Some of us run not only E@H but also other BOINC projects on our multi-core computers. In my case, I run some of the medical research projects in addition to E@H.
In fact I favor those med research tasks to the extent that I want to run only the GPU-utilizing tasks out of those available for E@H. It looks like I may have accomplished that by finding out which apps are associated with OPENCL, checkmarking only those apps in Project Preferences, and de-selecting ~'Run CPU versions of GPU tasks."
But as tasks and programming change over time, might it be more straightforward and flexible to offer a project preference switch for "Run GPU tasks only"?

If you look a bit further up the settings page where you selected the apps to run there is a setting for "Use CPU Yes|No" by setting this to "No" you should accomplish exactly what you want.
