Hi!

Having many people of the gravitational wave research community in Potsdam that day we are planning a public event around Einstein@Home.

Have a look at http://gwdaw11.aei.mpg.de/eah.php, and please let us know when you intend to come - we currently have not much of an idea how many people we could expect.

I'd suggested a web cam, or maybe a chat session -anyone else interested in a distributed party for the distributed computing crowd?

It's not a bad idea, but our time is very limited these days. Whether we will have and take the time to set up things like this will probably be influenced by the amount of requests we get.

So anyone else interested in this?

The page for the event has

The page for the event has been updated with a program for the evening.

Unfortunately our mailserver is under heavy load (probably from spam attacks), so the notification eMails may take a while and I thought I spread the word this way.

We won't have a video

We won't have a video streaming for this. But I'm currently planning to make audio recordings of the talks and publish them together with slides (or similar).

We might find someone to watch e.g. a thread in the forum for a chat session of some sort (or a skype chat), but we haven't found one yet.

Any volunteers?
