Actually I rarely drink. Alcoholism runs in my family and it's not a fate I want to tempt.
We were only joking with you, Kath. I had a drink problem when I was younger - one bottle of Scotch whisky per day - I gave it up and went tee-total 15 years ago....
Good for you! I lived with someone with a drink problem for years and it put me off drinking myself for quite sometime. As a consequence it doesn't take much to get me drunk...(is this a good thing or a bad thing?)
Well done for recognising you had a problem and taking positive steps to deal with it.
I hope we change the subject. As a recovering alcoholic (20 years if I make it to August 16- and I think I will) I was getting uncomfortable with all the references... and Kath... you are so wise... good for you....

I too am sorry Michael.
Congrats on your sobriety. I can only hope and pray my mother will see the light and stop.
Take care everyone.
I'm pouring ice cold ovaltine for anyone who wants it
[aside]I can't wait to get home and actually have a glass of ovaltine... all this talking about it over the last few months has me craving it[/aside]
Thank all of you for your kind thoughts. I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to speak so personally. It affirms again, my belief in people and the really good things that this project stands for as well as the consideration of those involved. Than you all, I am truly touched.

Michael; I think you've been around here long enough to realize that Einstein Cafe is totally different from SETI Cafe. Here, we DO consider other peoples feelings and at the same time have some generally rowdy tasteful fun......

I have found the majority of the BOINC boards to be warm, caring communities.
And a great place to have a party! Ovaltine anyone?
Well Megan's law dues not apply for Bush, but we still Apologize for the error of him being born here.
Too bad that the scandals had to be in the way of Clinton's Presidency, would have been a good 8 years otherwise.
Anyone have any other good signs about leaders of our countries?

I agree Ray...The Monica Lewinsky sex scandal undermined much of the good that was done in the Clinton presidency...And fueled the political fires that have helped lead the United States to the condition it is in today.

That says:
Bush was born in New Haven, Conn., on July 6, 1946.
The great state of Connecticut (whare I hang out) sincerely apologies for that.
