I have gone back and forth from my results to your post, clicked on my columns, got no response, naturally, because if I did, you would not have written your wish. The columns are what they are, columns.
What sort of information/headings do you want shown when you click on a column?
I have only one computer with 2 processors but have a bunch of columns.
The only problem I have is, when trying to see who I'm waiting on when I have tasks pending, it's confusing to go from Task Name, to Work ID, to Computer ID. And it would be nice to see how much time they need to complete a task. My pending list is always too long (except for now because of longer than usual tasks).
How would your wish, if granted, make this easier?
Sorry to make this so long but to shorten it, well, you know the rest. :)
Only column I'd really care to sort on is "Time reported or deadline", and that is already the one being used. All the rest I can fix by selecting application/state on the top.

Logforme hi
I see my task list apparently sorted by Work unit ID - (or maybe date sent, not sure which) not by ¨Time reported¨
It would be most useful, to me, most times, to have them sorted by Time Reported.
When i run several E@H CPU apps or GPUs the order reported jumps around especially with long duration WUs near short ones.
If can you give me the url you have, i will try that.
There is no way to filter based on GPU1 for example, so i would see slow tasks on GPU1 and fast tasks on GPU0.
I can imagine a variety of reasons to sort the by other fields such as WU name, elapsed time and application. Fastest first etc.
A sort button for example the Last 28 days column here was the idea.
The information listed would be the same, only in a different order so i don´t think this would help your wish, which i guess is - ¨Display the wingmen working on each task.¨
I'd like to see the progress of our partners (or wingpersons as some call them). I'd like to be able to know when to expect their completion of the task. We can see our own, why not theirs...

That would require everyone to be able to log in on the computers of everyone else. Not sure how you feel about that, but you're not getting onto mine to check where in the list this task is that you so dearly want my computer to finish. Just have patience, it'll get there.
But then, you can check some of the progress on the other computers. For example, when you click on the 'Work unit ID' number, you can see whether the task has been sent to two (or more) computers, if the other computer returned it already, if it's an erroneous task, and a lot more.
Now, why do you so anxiously need to control when other computers return their tasks? BOINC itself is set by default to run only when the computer is idle. Not everyone runs the projects 24/7. I sure no longer do, as I cannot afford it anymore. So my PC runs BOINC 8 hours per day. If that means that on whatever project we're sharing tasks, my computer takes a little longer than yours to return the task, why should you care about that and feel the urgent need to tell me to hurry up?
The tasks come with a deadline. That should be enough. If not returned by the deadline, the task is sent out again to a third computer, and so on until either the amount of errors is too high and the task ends, or a canonical result is returned and everyone gets credit. That'll normally happen without you needing to do anything.
... I'd like to be able to know when to expect their completion of the task.
Firstly, let me say that I agree wholeheartedly with all the points Jord made. Secondly, let me also say you can easily do exactly what you want with the existing system without any changes whatsoever.
You currently have 4 pending tasks in your tasks list. Taking them in the order of newest to oldest, you can expect those pendings to be finalised in 5.58 days, 7.69 days, 4.64 days and 5.58 days, respectively, from the time they were issued to the respective wingmen. If you want to be able to do this for yourself, you should start experimenting and clicking on some fairly obvious links. It's very, very easy. Of course, the numbers quoted are only approximate - despite the accuracy with which they are portrayed. They could be drastically affected by changes in crunching patterns - for example if the hours per day that a host was running was changed suddenly.
As a final comment, let me point out that your own host has an average turn around time of 1.03 days. So, it would appear that you cache somewhat less than 1 days worth of work (probably a lot less). If you want to see less pendings in your tasks list, you should increase your cache settings to say 3 days. That way, your wingmen will have extra time to crunch and return their tasks before your machine returns its copy. Please don't go beserk with cache settings. 3 days or so would be a quite comfortable setting.
The trouble is I'm old and don't feel so hot. I'd like to kick it over a half-million before I kick out. I wish I had started sooner...actually, I did, but my computer died, and back in '96 when I bought it, it was a stuggle just to get on the internet - windsocks and all that good stuff we don't do anymore. And I lost my password, etc.
I used to go through and look at the groups. Haven't done that yet, but I seem to remember Navy ships having Seti running and all kinds of great organizations involved...
I run my poor tired pc 24/7 and have cut down on the number of sites I go to. I run NO screensaver to save space for Einstein, also removed my desktop picture of my beloved dog and cat, to save space...
Someone said to me a few months ago that with my old pc I am holding people up and should ask for little jobs not to be a drag. I have made it my business to have a big pending file and look up to see their turnaround rate. Only occasionally do I see somebody with a faster rate with the partners the Manager is giving me. I enjoy this. Wish I knew more about computers, but it's too late to learn - I can feel it... Times are strange too. It feels like something is going to happen. What I don't know...Ignore me, I'm 75 and say stupid things. Politicians should quit before they are my age. I am proof of that.
Thank you my Dear.... (oh, this is so corny, maybe you should delete it before the big bosses take a look at it and tells you all to get to work and stop humoring old ladies) Deleting will not make me angry...
