Here is what happened:
I had a WU ready and while reporting it, I accidentaly pressed "Suspend".
Now its' progress is on 0.320%.
Can I possibly recover the results without crunching this WU again?

Can I avoid crunching the same WU twice?

Thanx Bruce, but the problem is exactly that. After I pressed resume, progress for this WU dropped from 100% to 0%.

The only reason I can think of is that you have your preference setting "don't write to disk more often than XXX" set to such a large value that the app does not checkpoint.

The "don't write to disk more often than XXX" setting must not be the reason, since a. I never changed the default 60 secs, and b. the result files had already been uploaded to the server.
I believe that this is a minor bug of the BOINC client. To reproduce it:
a. Let a WU compute and the result files upload, so the status is [Ready to Report]
b. Go to the [Projects] tab, select [Einstein@Home] and press [Update]
c. Quickly go to the [Tasks] tab, select the WU that is reporting and press [Suspend].
d. Press [Resume] again.
At step d. the client probably searches for the (already uploaded, thus missing) result files, and since they are not present starts the WU from scratch. (If this is true, then the problem may occur even if step b. is not taken.)
I tried to trace this in the source code, but gave up after 3 or 4 hours. At the moment I don't have any small WUs, so I don't dare to reproduce this myself. Any help?
Since this must be affecting any BOINC project, can anyone advise me if there is a more proper place to report this mishap?
Thanks again for your response Bruce,
Have a nice day
PS. I crunched the WU again and reported it fine, so this is not an active problem for me. Also, it was not a problem with the specific WU.

You can try either the BOINC message boards or the email lists.
