Yeah I have downsized from the 23 pc's I had a few years ago and my 'ranch'. Just in case some of you are thinking of buying a bunch of pc's...once you hit 23 pc's you NEED a Server to ensure the IP addresses stay organized. Normally each pc handles it itself, but with 23 pc's it becomes a battle between them, a Server is ALWAYS in charge and handles it nice and smoothly. I used the Windows Home Server software on a dual core pc and it worked just fine.
Actually I had 15 pc's here at my house running just 2 weeks ago, this is only ONE of those, so no big deal really. I say 15 pc's 2 weeks ago because I bought a dual quad core Xeon pc off of ebay that thru hyperthreading has 16 cpu cores in it, it cost me $240 to get to my house! It runs just fine but didn't come with a harddrive, and is the machine I have been talking about for all of this. Anyway because I bought this new for me pc, my 2nd btw, I took the last of my dual core pc's and all but one of my quad core pc's off line. I am down 3 pc's to a total of 12 now, BUT I have MORE cpu cores running now than before!!! I now have 1 quad core pc, a handful of 6 core pc's, a few 8 core pc's and 2 16 core pc's. I get to 8 and 16 cores thru hyperthreading.
Of course I am WINNING!!!!
Wow. Put all of that on Seti instead and you'd outdo Sattler.
Winning!

Nicely done ! A good central singularity, nice accretion disc, matter spiraling in. Ought be a good X-ray and/or gamma emitter. And in time too. With Advanced LIGO more or less online about now then we are in need of a reference source. :-)
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

He wouldn't like that :-)
Nor would I! I am done with Seti, I was there pre Boinc and even quite a while after Boinc came online, but had some problems with the Senior Admins etc and still have a very bad taste in my mouth over the whole thing.

Thanks Dr Mike
I use my mLISA to get the close look and for a while got caught in a wild rotation around the event horizon but then took a lucky bounce away from the black hole after hitting a planet that is getting close to checking out if there is an actual *worm hole*
......so anyway my mLISA is back to work and in a safe zone sending information back to my 10ft satellite dish in KU band and looking for a pulsar and letting me know what is out there that we can't see with our space telescopes
That's what I call a farm!

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
