Adding the wisdom file as directed helped me a lot. My Pi2 at the 1GHz setting went from about 83k seconds to 49k seconds. The temperature went up from around 52 C to around 63 C. I have stick-on aluminum heat sinks on the CPU and ethernet/USB chips.
The Raspberry operating system must be pretty flakey as I had a power out and I could not get back into Raspberry afterwards. I had to re install from the "SHIFT" at startup loosing everything on the system and starting new.

That is usually due to corruption of the filesystem on the sd card. If you have another linux PC (even another Raspi) you could try to connect the sd card via a card reader and do a file system check and repair on it.

If you set it up using a PC to put the image onto the SD card then you can always make a backup once you've got it running. I am updating one Parallella to Ubuntu 14.10 at the moment and made a copy of the SD card before I started.
Highly unlikely that it slows down things: This one (PI2 overclocked to 1GHz) uses the wisdom file and does a WU in ca 50000 sec.

I am running four tasks without the file and when they are complete I will add the file and see what happens for he nest four. I do not have the Raspberry overclocked at the moment and don't know where to do it anyway.

My Raspberry Pi 2 is now crunching away, only 3 at a time though. Boinc says 4 AMD cpus. I tired adding 4 to cc_config.xml, 4 to app_config.xml, setting Use 90% of CPU and then resetting it to 100%. Rebooted and sang lovely celtic ballads all to no avail.
Any ideas?

I am running four tasks and they are 65% complete after 15 Hours. Not sure if that is good or bad.

I have BOINC up and running again in the HOME folder and running four NEON tasks.
