Sure, but I'm really at the end of my ability to do it.
Great! I'm sure you'll do just fine.

The notice is NOT telling you to remove the project. It is telling you that you are attached twice (ie. two different URLs) and that you need to remove the wrong URL. The reason why you shouldn't even try to do that is that the URL being suggested for keeping (einstein.phys.uwm.edu) is not the correct URL to use.
To get to the bottom of this you need to answer the question, "Are you using an account manager like BAM for example?" Alternatively, are you using the boinctasks app? Apparently, it can create the same type of problem. Once you tell me that, I'll send a PM to Richard Haselgrove who actually (I believe) maintains the official list of all correct project URLs and see if he has any suggestion on how best to solve this. Richard made the 2nd post in that thread for which I've already given you the link.

I had a look at your Windows 10 machine on GPUGrid. I know nothing about that project, but I seem to recall someone mentioning at one point that all their applications were for GPU crunching only. I could easily be wrong. Your host over there is listed as not having a GPU. Perhaps that is why you can't get any work?

If you set NNT the button changes to read "Allow new tasks" and the status column on the projects tab for BOINC Manager shows that the Einstein project won't get new tasks. I believe it's impossible to get new tasks after that condition has been properly set.
Once any task has been allocated to your computer, it's no longer a "new" task. If that task gets lost for any reason (ie. not aborted properly, not a comp error, not returned, but somehow just lost), the project will resend a copy as a 'lost task'. If the project sends a lost task and you don't want it, just abort it and make sure to click update so the aborted task can be reported back to the project.. Sometimes people abort tasks but don't report them. The tasks will expire after two weeks but if the host (perhaps with a new BOINC install) contacts the project before they expire, they will be sent again as lost tasks. If this happens, just abort and report.
I think you would know if you have installed BOINC Account Manager (BAM). Please have a look at this page where account managers are explained. There is a link there to the Boinsctats website where BAM is available. Did you ever install that account manager?
With regard to GPUs, yes all machines need a GPU of some description just to draw on the screen. Some GPUs are internal to the CPU chip and may not be powerful enough to handle crunching jobs. You may need to install particular drivers to unlock any crunching ability. In your particular case, your GPU is an Internal one and is described in the entry for that host in your list of hosts at Einstein. I also see that your list has gone down to 4 so you have managed to merge two of them. I don't know why that GPU doesn't show on the GPUGrid entry for that host. You would need to ask over there.
I have received this message several times, but I can't comply, because the project won't let me.
Einstein@Home: Notice from BOINC
This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/11/16/2018 7:38:05 PM
The "remove" button is grey and will not work. I'm being told to do something which will not work!
OK, if that's the case you do have an account manager. I've only seen previous reports about BAM so I'm only guessing that Grid Republic may be causing a similar issue.
Which particular 'remove' option are you talking about? BOINC Manager has a 'remove' option and I imagine the account manager has something similar (I don't know for sure) and maybe you're trying to use the wrong 'remove' option??? I'm guessing you should remove a project using the same interface that you used to connect to it in the first place.
Before you remove anything, would you please abort any 'in progress' tasks and then click the update button so that your quorum partners won't be held up for two weeks waiting for results to time out and be re-issued to someone else?
You have 'in progress' tasks on 3 of the 4 computers listed under your account.
It's not really clear to me what you intend to do. Are you prepared to wait just a bit longer to see if we can get the spurious and incorrect messages to stop? I've already written to Richard to see if he has a suggestion and I don't imagine he will ignore that message.
You keep saying you want to remove your account and if you manage to achieve that you may well cause all your machines to be disconnected from the project. This might be handled correctly by an account manager - I have no experience to know about that. If your intention is to get rid of the project completely, that's fine and entirely your decision. If so, would you please abort and return the in-progress tasks beforehand, thank you.

Just be aware that it's not "the project" that is preventing you. Whatever button you are talking about is either in BOINC Manager (a GUI interface to the BOINC client on your machine) or in the account manager you are using. I'm only guessing but perhaps that option is greyed out because it's not an appropriate option for what you need to do. Since you're being asked to delete one supposedly wrong URL in favour of another that is supposedly correct, perhaps there is something else that you should be using rather than 'remove'. You still haven't mentioned where you are seeing that remove option.
If your source of these disturbing messages is only on your newest machine (you haven't said if it's just one or all machines) maybe trying a "Reset project" option on just that machine might clear the problem. I'm not suggesting you do anything until we hear from Richard. His advice is bound to be better than mine.
