BOINC and Android 5 "Lollipop"

Dear Android BOINC users,

We are still getting many results which aborted with a computation error for devices that were updated to Android 5. This problem arises if your Android BOINC client is not up to date, e.g. we get most such failures from BOINC version 7.4.14.

If you are using BOINC or the HTC-branded version "Power To Give", and your device uses Android 5, make sure you are using the latest version from the Google Playstore/Amazon App store.

If you are using the NativeBOINC app, you might want to consider switching to the official BOINC app or HTC's PowerToGive instead. NativeBOINC hasn't been updated for a long time and it looks a bit like development and support has for now ended.
