From the complaint 'gethostbyname failed' and your empty statlist, Boinc is apperently not able to couple a computer ID to a HOSTname, so you will not get WU's assigned.
Is your network properly setup? Hostname assigned ?
At first time Boinc startup, you should be asked for a project to assign to and your IDcode, did this happen ?

i just found out:
i had to click "START".. .hmmmpfff.
now it´s running fine :-))
